Last month Qualcomm announced that the Samsung Galaxy S23 series smartphone will use the new Snapdragon 8 gen 2 processor globally. All three Galaxy S23 Series Smartphones already passed through Geekbench with New Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. So, it looks like Samsung has given up its in-house processor plan.
But According to The Elec, Samsung is still working on its next mobile Processor. For years, Samsung System LSI a separate company from the Samsung Mobile Experience Division (Samsung MX) is the supplier of the Exynos Processor.
But According to the new report, Samsung is now forming a new Chipset development team within Samsung MX and this team will be led by Ex Qualcomm employee and current executive vice-president Choi Won-Joon (who joined Samsung in 2016).
So, it will take a long time to deliver their custom chipset. But according to rumors Samsung is looking to launch their Samsung galaxy S series Smartphone with New Custom Processor in 2025.
